Bou-Matic Gascoigne Melotte, with headquarters in Remicourt near Liege, is one of the main players in the global market for milking equipment. The company has installations in more than 60 countries worldwide.To streamline our rapidly growing European activities our Belgian based HQ is looking to recruit an experienced professional (M/F) for the position of:

Strategic Purchaser (m/f)

Purpose of the position

Responsible for the effective and efficient performance of strategic purchasing product groups to drive material cost and customer fulfillment to a world class level that consistently outperforms the competition. Accountable for measurable material cost savings in the responded product groups sustainable supplier assessment.

Competences:
3-5 years purchasing experience, preferably in strategic purchasing activities in automotive or mechanical engineering industry.

High degree of customer focus

Excellent negotiation skills

Team player

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field

Multilingual: French and English are a minimum, other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities:

Review major vendors/product linesand determine need for alternatives.

Pursue alternate vendors to decrease cost, increase service and quality.

Work closely with R&D and marketing to drive out costs.

Determine and pursue alternate sourcing strategies.

Perform supplier auditing as necessary.

Reporting line:

Direct report to Director of Supply Chain operations Europe.

Dotted line report to Director of Global Strategic Purchasing and Planning.

Works in close cooperation with the buyers team leader and his group in Remicourt and provides input to their activities and accepts input from them on potentialopportunities.

Position: Area Sales Manager Belgium - North of France

 

Bou-Matic Gascoigne Melotte, with headquarters in Remicourt, Belgium, is a major international player with products ranging from bulk cooling tanks to automated milking systems; from a full line of sanitation and route service products to integrated computerized management systems.

The company has installations in more than 60 countries worldwide.

Our Area sales manager for North France and Belgium is retiring end of this year.

For this purpose we are recruiting a:

Area Sales Manager Belgium – North of France

Function

  • In this position you will become responsible for the sales activities in Belgium and the northern part of France.
  • You report to the Sales Director Western Europe
  • You will actively participate in the development of the sales network in your region in order to reach the defined sales targets.
  • You will work in close cooperation with the marketing department and the technical service.
  • You will represent the company at fairs and events of the sector and you will train and support the dealers in the set up of the drawings and the specifications for the dairy projects as well as in the sales of the milking parlours and Robots.

 

Profile

  • You have a good know-how in Agri-Business or Agriculture experience, and beyond everything a real charisma in sales and dealer management.
  • You have at least 2 years of professional experience, ideally in a similar commercial position
  • You have good negotiation, analyzing and strategic planning skills
  • You have a valuable experience in the sector, willing to travel, living in the region and you have excellent knowledge of French and Dutch. Other languages are considered an asset. Finally you are an experienced PC User.
  • You are trustful, sincere and honest, able to represent the quality image of BouMatic.
  • You have real team spirit and the capability to bring confidence to your environment.
