Position Title: District sales manager
Position: District Sales Manager – various opportunities throughout the U.S.
Reports To: Regional Sales Manager
Key Responsibilities:
The District Sales Manager is responsible for aggressively growing and supporting the sales, marketing and profit objectives of the Company, within their designated territory.
To accomplish this, a district manager must:
- Develop a comprehensive, annual territory sales / marketing plan, in alignment with the sales / marketing strategies and profit objectives of the Company, maximizing the Company’s product and service offering within their territory;
- Develop individual marketing plans with appropriate distribution in territory;
- Performs distribution evaluations & reviews with distribution organization;
- Upgrade distribution to meet the sales / marketing and business objectives;
- Facilitate and support Company / distribution training activities;
- Fill open/replacement areas with new distribution or distribution model as needed;
- Develop a professional relationship with key local industry influential's;
- Conduct all business and personal affairs in a professional and ethical way.
Qualifications:
Experience in the equipment industry preferably with agriculture or manure equipment. Experience working with distribution or dealer network is helpful.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience of 5-7 years required.
50% travel required.

Position Title: regional sales manager - eastern
Reports To: Director, North American Sales
Key Responsibilities and Accountability
- Directs sales activities.
- Builds strong relationships and develops an effective sales / dealer network that results in the company obtaining and retaining a growing base of satisfied customers.
- Manage all aspects of the sales function and drive margin and revenue through technical sales, outside sales and dealer networks.
- Work closely with the NA Sales Director and the rest of the sales team to develop revenue objectives and effective strategic sales plans and sales budgets that support the Company’s goals and objectives in a consistent manner and ensure that they are met and exceeded.
- Provide strong leadership to sales team by mentoring, establishing performance goals, and designing sales and training programs and educational plans that support the achievement of performance goals
- Prepares budgets. Analyzes variances and initiates corrective action, if necessary.
- Provides analysis of sales programs and sales forecast.
- Plan, develop, revise and implement objectives, policies and programs for sales activities for the assigned territory.

- Investigate market conditions, plan and direct activities that include estimating market values including time, place and type of sales.

Technical/Job Skill Qualifications:

- Bachelor degree required from an accredited college or university, MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience in sales and sales management.
- Ability to conduct all business and personal affairs in a professional and ethical way.

Position Title: project engineer
Job Statement:
This position is distinguished in that it is a member of BouMatic’s innovative Design Engineering team and reports to the Chief Mechanical Engineer, NAROW.
In this key position, the successful candidate will design and maintain electro-mechanical systems in the Design Engineering Department at the Madison, WI location to support sales growth and to achieve the company’s desired position as the technology leader in the dairy industry. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the electro-mechanical cow traffic products.

Position Title: research & Development chemist
Job Statement:
The Senior R&D Chemist develops new and improved cleaning and sanitizing products, especially for the dairy farm and related industries, under the BouMatic, PureLabs, Knapp, and SaniStar brands. The position is non-supervisory and very hands-on in a research environment within a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities and Accountability:
- Research and formulate a variety of new or improved cleaning and sanitizing products (alkaline and acid cleaners, sanitizers, teat disinfectants, hoof treatments, etc.) by performing complex and creative work that often may result in patent applications.
- Optimize current products and the associated processes to improve the performance, appearance, manufacturability, and cost.
- Originate and apply new and unique procedures, methods, or designs, and develop specialized equipment.
- Plan and organize laboratory experiments, operate and maintain R&D laboratory bench top equipment, maintain organized records of that research and prepare result reports.
- Insure all prototype formulations are stable and meet defined performance requirements before releasing the product for field testing.
- Prepare cost estimates of new formulae. Present experimental results, costs and status to marketing in a formal report.
- Research product properties and interactions of raw materials. Identify critical process variables and specify lab validation and testing procedures for products to ensure they meet performance, safety, environmental, and quality criteria prior to production.
- Monitor scale-up of approved formulations, including product sample testing, to ensure that the intended product performance is achieved. Support partner manufacturing facilities to produce products to the same standards as those produced in Madison.
- Conduct teat disinfectant efficacy trials.
- Search vendors for raw materials.
Relationships:
- Reports to: Director, Research and Development.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally amongst R&D group, marketing, manufacturing, sales, etc.
- Develops and maintains rapport with suppliers.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Able to work with and around hazardous materials, chemicals, and equipment
- Some travel to customer sites and partner manufacturing facilities may be required (up to 10-15%).
- Frequently write by hand and/or type on a keyboard for periods of time.
- Verbally communicate one-on-one and in front of groups.
- Able to safely lift 50 pounds .
- Able to climb stairs (15+) several times per day
- Able to use a respirator
Technical/Job Skill Qualifications:
- BS in chemistry. Advanced degree (M.S. or PhD) in chemistry a plus.
- Preferred minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience in New Product Development with concentration in the areas of formulation and testing. Must have ability to successfully take a product from concept to commercialization.
- Must be an innovative thinker and results-based professional in order to drive company value.
- Experience with product preparation of samples for evaluation is a must.
- Familiarity with EPA, FDA, DOT and DEA regulations and GMP.
- Experience in writing SOP’s, protocols, and reports.
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to provide estimated formulation costs.
- Interpersonal skills required to collaborate with coworkers at various technical levels.
