Position Title – Parlor Technology Engineering Intern

Job Description:
This position will assist with development and implementation of new projects related to but not limited to the Parlor Technology engineering group.


Responsibilities:
- Create R&D Prototypes
- Assist in the Development of Formal Assembly Procedures, Tooling, Process Design, and Pursue Continuous Improvement
- Assist in Production Pilot Runs
- New product development

The intern will be expected to perform given tasks nearly autonomously with direction from other engineering team members.

Qualifications:
At least 2 years of education in a Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering program. 

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and 3D CAD system (Solidworks preferred). 

Experience with welding (MIG and TIG), machining, sheet metal fabrication and assembly techniques preferred.

Knowledge of dairy parlor operation is a plus.

Self-motivation, creativity and the desire to learn. Must have problem solving skills, possess analytical abilities and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Position Summary/Accountabilities:
Key responsibilities include:  

  • Resolving help desk issue

Job Functions:
They will help the IT department better support the rest of the business, and complete projects in a timely fashion.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:
Physical requirements include sitting for long periods of time, speaking in front of large groups of people, finger dexterity, hearing and seeing. Environmental requirements include working indoors.

Position: District Sales Manager - Texas

Reports To: Regional Manager

Key Responsibilities:

The District Sales Manager is responsible for aggressively growing and supporting the sales, marketing and profit objectives of the Company, within their designated territory.

  • Develop a comprehensive, annual territory sales/marketing plan, in alignment with the sales/marketing strategies and profit objectives of the Company, maximizing the Company's product and service offering within their territory;

Position Title – Intern (Patents and Trademarks)
 
Position Summary/Accountabilities –
Key responsibilities include

Logging and filing all correspondence and documentation related to BouMatic patents and trademarks

Tracking legal and governmental expense related to patents and trademarks.

Preparing budget estimates of future expense.

Routine correspondence with I.P. attornays.

Job Functions –
This intern will bring order to the present “read it and file it” system of dealing with I.P. correspondence and actions.

Physical & Environmental Requirements –
This is an office job. Summary results may be presented to management from time to time. Interacts with outside attorneys and legal assistants.

Technical/Job Skill Qualifications –
The candidates must meet the following qualifications, and have demonstrated the following technical or job skills:

  • Undergraduate student at a major university.

Position: Plant Manger

Position Objective:       Involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, lean methods and processes, and other production techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods to exceed the yearly budget and customer satisfaction… 
  
Position Functions:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of production of products.
  • Decision making regarding any operational issues, cost effectiveness, outsourcing.
  • Work with other facility management to resolve problems and create solutions.
  • Oversee, direct and assist facility management with carrying out policies, safety and problem solving in all aspects of manufacturing.
  • In charge of Lean implementations plant wide.
  • Conduct daily production meetings.
  • Help develop the equipment and systems required to plan the capital budget.
  • Analyze, interpret, and report on production statistics plant-wide.
  • Responsible for maintenance personnel and PM program.
  • Work in an open and positive manner with union team members.

Position Expectations:

  • Responsible for the production performance of plant facility.
  • Possess an overall knowledge of the business regarding performance and   predictions.
  • Understand customer issues and sales trends.
  • Attain an understanding of financial data pertaining to plant operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Management with engineering background preferred.
  • Experience of at least three years in Lean Concepts and Principles; certification preferred.
  • Minimum of five years experience in a manufacturing environment as a plant or general manager.
  • Intermediate-level abilities in Microsoft Excel and Word and knowledge of integrated manufacturing system (MRP).  JD Edwards preferred.

Position Title – Research & Development  Senior Technician
 

Position Summary/Accountabilities –
This position is responsible for the research and development of power automation products.

Job Functions / Technical Skills –

 

  1. Technical abilities include testing / building / prototype electrical, electronics, and mechanical components per System Specification.
  2. PC abilities includes but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, Programmable Logic Controller Software a plus, C / C+ / C++ / C# based knowledge a plus
  3. PLC programming, Human Machine Interface / HMI programming experience a plus
  4. Knowledge of Electrical schematic reading, electrical / electronic use of calibration / measurement instruments a must
  5. Knowledge / abilities of Research & Development Procedures & Methodologies:
  • design, build, procure, setup, operate prototype per engineering specifications
  • proof of concept verification
  • component testing per vendor / OEM specification claims
  • establish prototype testing plan, testing
  • documentation, written reports, testing protocol results
  • Troubleshoot and perform analyses of test failures leading to the root cause of failure.
  1. Capabilities / previously worked in an environment that can create “field issues” in a lab environment, to simulate “field” problems and perform troubleshooting / documenting results with ability to write recommendations.
  2. Capability to work interdependent / interdisciplinary with engineering / marketing / sales department regarding design of new product, update of just released product, or changes needed on existing product for update/upgrade
  3. Knowledge / experience in writing / review test manuals, troubleshooting manuals, installation manuals, training manuals, etc.
  4. Mechanical experience a plus… welding, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.
  5. Printed Circuit Board troubleshooting experience is a plus
  6. 25% Travel is required
  7. Associate / BS in electrical / electronic / industrial / automation / robotic is a plus.

Position Title – Technical Writer
 

Position Summary/Accountabilities –
Key responsibilities include:

  • Create and update engineering department technical manuals.
  • Maintain technical manual database.

Job Functions –

  • Work with engineering staff to create technical manuals to explain installation and operation of company equipment for dealer and customer use.
  • Update existing technical manuals as needed.
  • Maintain document database in JDE.
  • Work with translators to have technical manuals translated and then format translated technical manuals into company format.
  • Maintain company technical manual format.
  • Maintain technical manuals print-on-demand files and specifications.
  • Work with drafting staff for technical manual figures.
  • Maintain Technical Writer procedures.

  • A minimum of 2 years of highly technical and progressively responsible professional writing experience.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills and ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
