The Dari-Kool Insta-Kool chiller offers another pre-cooling option for any size dairy operation. The Insta-Kool Chiller is a self-contained, refrigerated chilling system that delivers chilled water/glycol coolant to your plate cooler for additional milk cooling. The Insta-Kool chiller helps conserve water by providing the plate cooler with chilled, re-circulated water/coolant instead of using well water. The Insta-Kool chiller also offers an ideal total instant cooling option for expanding dairies or dairies that need additional cooling capacity, but have limited space. The base unit includes a chilled-water re-circulation pump and a 5-HP chiller module that can expand to include one or two additional 5-HP modules, to provide up to 15-hp of cooling capacity.

Dari-Kool Plate Cooler

The Dari-Kool plate cooler cools milk with well water and/or chilled water before the milk reaches the tank. This provides quick cooling and ensures the quality of the milk you produce. Warm milk passes through alternate stainless steel plates in one direction while water passes in the opposite direction. Each plate has a special herringbone configuration that causes the milk and water to "roll" through the plates. This rolling action maximizes contact between the liquids and the plate walls for highly efficient heat transfer.
